Haram Income

It is very important that income is earned from a halal source. The reason a lot of people dont care about their source is because they don’t know that haram income hides in it diseases, misery, disgrace and worry.

It is not just enough to have a halal source of income and slack at work. A person has to work hard and complete the number of hours at work. If a person gets paid for 8 hours work, then he/she must work 8 hours. They cannot go home earlier or come late and receive full pay.

A lot of business owners and shopkeepers cheat their customers and think that they have earned extra income. The only thing they have earned is diseases and problems in this world and the wrath of Allah on the day of judgment.

Hazrat Abu Saeed (RA) narrates that Rasulullah (SAW) said: ‘An honest and upright trader will be with the Ambiya, Siddiqeen and Shuhada (on the Day of Judgement).” - Tirmidhi

Hadhrat Ibn Umar (RA) narrates that Rasulullah (SAW) said: “Allah Ta’ala loves a Mo’min who engages himself in lawful means of earning a living.” - Tabrani

Hadhrat Abdullah (RadhiyaUaho anho) narrates that Rasulullah (SAW) said: “The seeking of a halaal earning is the next Farz after the Farz Salat.”—Baihaqi
