Government Formation in Pakistan
Government formation in Pakistan is underway and despite of some hurdles the process is expected to get completed sooner amicably, mainly courtesy to the newly-found sagacity of both Mian Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.
When today Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani will take the vote of confidence from the assembly, he would be cabinet-less, but he would be joined soon by his aides. Had President House given positive response to the intimation of Prime Minister about the oath of cabinet four days ago, PM Gillani would not have without the cabinet today. But then President House is very fond of adding flies to the ointment.
Pakistan Democratic Alliance has also finalized the cabinet formation with due inclusion of some of the expected names, though some names are also very controversial like of Rehman Malik (he has got the status of federal minister as the advisor to PM). PDA must select such ministers which act like servants and work like Beatles. Some gaping crisis are ahead and they would need sacrifices and not the protocols.
