Release Dr. Aafia Siddiqui

FATA Burns Steadily

The house of a police official was partly damaged when two bombs placed near his home exploded with a bang near Khyber Agency. Soon after that another bomb with low intensity blasted in the Khyber Agency, while the fight goes on in the Tirah valley of the Khyber Agency between militants of Lashkar-e-Islam and Ansar-ul-Islam.

As the FATA smoulders, in a very disgusting act of terrorism, two more shops were burnt down in Charbagh tehsil while two powerful bombs were defused in Sambat area of the volatile Swat valley. The two shops belonged to very poor people, and they are now without any means to earn their living.

Meanwhile, there were reports about six bombs planted in Sambat, Shakardara and Jora areas. Also there was an explosion in the Charbagh area of Swat, where a women market is. Though no one luckily was injured.

What exactly is going on in this area is very hard to comprehend, but the life has come to a stand still and things are deteriorating very steadily, and there is no business and the tourism industry has gone dead. Billions of rupees have already been lost, and there is no chance of recovery, whatsoever.
