Fajr Prayer
A few years back, I read somewhere that if you place an alarm clock out of reach, you will have to get out of bed to shut it off and once you are out of bed you will pray Fajr. So, I tried doing exactly the same. Before Fajr the alarm woke me up, and I rushed out of bed to shut it off, but then, I ran straight back to bed and fell asleep.
Fajr never seemed part of my life until some time ago. It was always Zuhar, Asr, Maghrib and Isha. Even though I looked at the 4 prayers as an accomplishment, I always felt something inside me missing. Fajr was left to sometime in the near future when something magical would happen and I would suddenly start praying it.
I just want to say that nothing ever happens magically. Except problems which become bigger and bigger and do not go away until a person starts praying five time daily.
The power of eman and a little bit of humbleness is what is required to five times daily. The hand has five fingers. All five are necessary. Similarly, for life to run smoothly, all five prayers are necessary, and that includes Fajr.
