Email Marketing

Internet Marketing is one of the most sought after thing by the webmaster around the globe. In the mammoth jungle of billions of websites, effective Internet Marketing something really challenging but worthwhile. Its the only way to target the universal audience scattered on the Wide World Web.

One of the most crucial aspect of Internet Marketing is email marketing. Jupiter Research says e-mail open rate is 20 percent and the average click-through rate is maybe 9 percent. So, users do open up the emails from the unknown sources, but the rate is slow, so its crucial to stand apart from the crowd and put every effort to grab the user attention in first glance or first click for that matter.

Shooting emails everywhere blindly may bring you a temporary traffic spike, but it wont surely be lasting and would only make you yet another spammer and it would throw a spanner in your efforts. So the best way to shoot email where it is likely to be opened. So know your target users to whom you are going to send the email about your online service or product. Use the virtual databases to get the demographic, purchasing tendencies and surfing priorities of the users, and if they match with your products and services then only send them the email.

Don’t write a thesis in your email. Just put the most inevitable and pertinent words to introduce and promote your web gem. Don’t make it lengthy and verbose and don’t harangue and advice. Just tell it in simple and attractive words and thats it. Don’t play with the words and don’t try to throw fear in the user, just be rational and play it as matter of the fact.

Users even don’t pay much attention to their personal emails. It is the nature of web mail, that people don’t really read them with meticulous care. They just go through it. The user focus is primarily on the above 2 to 4 inches of the email box. So that is very very critical. Use that 4 inches very wisely and professionally. Design your marketing email with as much care as you could muster. Place a little nice logo at the left top, and introduce your product in the first two lines, and then in the next line, put a fancy line about the product, and then in the 4rth and last line, request the user, just to check it out, if thats possible and also thanks him/her for the time. Also put a link to your site in this last line. and then say ‘regards’ and thats it.

You see its not a rocket science, just some common sense.
