Checkmate,
You have raised an important issue. It shows our callousness when it comes to the importance of Time. Many Hours of hundreds of guests are wasted in marriage ceremonies and that too without any reason. It is considered a norm that people wont come on time and hosts never write actual time on the invitation cards.

The most precious thing called Time, we have plenty for wasting

One of my subordinates has rightly pointed out that the city govt should also put a curfew time on marriage halls and lawns. I totally agree with her. Karachittes are streching the limits when it comes to weddings and related occasions. Barats now usually leave by 11 !! The guests have to sit till 2 in the morning if food or refreshements are being served. I wish the govt would look at this issue also. I have stopped going to weddings because I can come to the office the next morning looking stoned.
