Dr. Shahid Masood in Hot Waters

Dr. Shahid Masood, MD and Chairman of PTV, is in hot waters over sacking of Deputy MD Shahid Mehmood Nadeem. Shahid Nadeem, working on a contract at that time, was sacked after held responsible for technical fault in Prime Minister’s first address to the nation. However, it seems that this has hit a raw nerve in Information Minister Sherry Rehman, who apparently appointed old-time Jiyyala as PTV DMD. According to the News, Ms. Rehman reacted sharply and not only had Shahid Nadeem back in PTV but got him regularized as well by a special order from the Prime Minister (obviously while the PM is still out of country).

Dr. Shahid Masood should start saving from his exuberant salary because he will soon see the door himself.
