Dr. Qadeer’s Issue
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has also opened up his mouth, after the army officers of the Musharraf era have exposed the elections, the operations, business deals and other fiascos of the previous regime. That and this time, Dr. A.Q. Khan has told the untold stories of his capture and other hidden secrets.
According to the media sources, Pakistan’s hero, the one and only leading nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has said that North Korea received centrifuges from Pakistan in a 2000 shipment supervised by the security forces during the rule of President Pervez Musharraf. Dr. Khan told a foreign news agency in an interview that the uranium enrichment equipment was sent from Pakistan in a North Korean plane that was loaded under the supervision of Pakistani security officials. He said the security forces had “complete knowledge” of the shipment and that it must have been sent with the consent of President Pervez Musharraf.
Now that is something very fishy and very alarming, and though Dr. Qadeer says that his statements has been broadcasted with distortion the fact remains the same, and it’s high time that all should start pondering over it. Nobody ever believed that Dr. Qadeer did that singlehandedly and now Musharraf is as implicated as anybody else, and now Musharraf should also be house arrested for this crime.
But all should make sure that world powers don’t make this as excuse to get Dr. Qadeer.
