Don’t Wait, Act in FATA

As soon as the Swat truce has been announced by the power holders, things have started to aggravate more in other parts of the tribal region of Pakistan, which was already restive. Things are getting more and more out of control rapidly in some specific agencies like Bajaur and Mohmand, and there are growing signs of trouble in the Kurram agency.

Some unknown miscreants lobbed a bomb on a passenger bus at Torghar area of Lower Kurram in Kurram Agency blowing up the bus, while four persons in the initial report said to be injured. The sad thing is that there was no relief measure for the hapless victims.

In Mohmand agency, bomb blasts, suicide attacks, search operations and the plethora of check posts have become a common occurrence, and there is no relief for the common people of this agency. Lower Mohmand Agency people have got themselves confined into their houses due to the ongoing search operation against unknown miscreants.

Just couple of weeks ago, the security forces said that the Bajaur was cleared off militancy. People of the area had been promised this would not be allowed to happen again, but this has not happened.
