Don’t Curse America
I mean why we lament and accuse United States of acting in its own interest? We always bemoan that United States used us in its war against Soviet Union, cultivated militants and when USSR was pushed back and broken, US left us in the cold without looking back. The point is why we act like a divorced woman? Why exactly do we expect such childishness in the world affair?
This is not the world of compassion, friendship and love. This is the world of exploitation and opportunities. This is the world where the idiom is “survival of the fittest”. US has dexterity used the worlds’ nations and still using them and will keep on using them, because it has got the power, pelf and everything else.
United States of America groomed, placed and supported “friendly dictators” in South America for over a decade, and tens of thousands of innocent people where tortured and murdered with no justice at all. There’s a whole missing generation thanks to CIA actions. Remember Pinochet? Don’t forget Vietnam and don’t forget Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and why go that far? The Abu-Gharib is there for you. But why complaint to America, and scream,” Why US, Why, Why did you that?”. US did that because it was in her interest, and the point to be understood is that we should do what is in our interest, but we cannot do that because our rulers are abjectly submissive of US, and we are afraid of that redoubtable Uncle. First we need to get rid of this fear, and then we could do what’s in our interest.
The truth is that everyone wants America to act in THEIR interest, and US wants everyone to act in her interest. Right now US is winning and that is why it’s the super-power. It’s the game of forcing each other to act in their interest, and who wins gets the pie.
We need not to dirge about how US left us, and how US exploited us, and how US gave us some pennies in exchange of mega service and how we are now fighting the US’s war against terrorism at the cost of our survival and getting nothing back. Why act like that? We should be mature enough to call our own cues, and not to follow the US dictation, but for that to happen we need to stand on our own feet. Until then, we should stop acting hypocrites.

There is a common English proverb, “Beggars can’t be choosers.” We have to do what the Americans and the Saudis order us to do because we’re not rich, although we have more natural resources than Japan (which has practically nothing). And why are we poor? First, because our people think it’s a heinous sin to practice birth control, and secondly, we do not have a tax culture. The people who sit in the assemblies pay less tax than a bank executive. Unfortunately, our feudal system is such that only the crooks get elected and they decide how many taxes we have to pay, although they indulge in looting the country. The situation is very bad and it will probably remain the same for another fifty years.
