And why are we poor? First, because our people think it’s a heinous sin to practice birth control, and secondly, we do not have a tax culture. The people who sit in the assemblies pay less tax than a bank executive. Unfortunately, our feudal system is such that only the crooks get elected and they decide how many taxes we have to pay, although they indulge in looting the country. The situation is very bad and it will probably remain the same for another fifty years.
