Dialogue or Force for Terrorism
Lots of operations in NWFP and Balochistan have proved that force is perhaps not the only way to eliminate the scourge of terrorism. In these times, when the operations are going on in Swat, North Waziristan and other FATA areas, the rest of the country is rocking with suicide attacks, bomb blasts and firings.
With the gap of some days, a suicide bomber blew himself up in Lahore, a bomb was blasted in Karachi, rockets were fired in Kamra, and just few hours ago, a suicide bomber opened fire on worshipers in Peshawar before blowing himself up.
Crack down on religious seminaries and bombing in FATA area isn’t the only solution. In order to foster peace, harmony and calm in these areas of FATA which are sprouting suicide bombers, government must properly engage the people.
Experience has told us that its hopeless to engage in dialogue with people like Fazllulah and Mehsud. Force must be used to eliminate them. But government must focus on the areas from where these terrorists get their supply of bombers.
It really does take time to brainwash a human and making him agree to take his own life and the lives of other innocent people, and if such training camps of suicide bombers exist in Afghanistan, then why doesnt Pakistan Air Force strike inside Afghanistan?
When US can attack two countries just on a hunch, then why we are silent when have every intelligence report pointing towards Mazar-e-Sharif?
