[...] Shirazi at Chowrangi critiques the driving manners in Lahore. Adil Nizam of All Things Pakistan is taking a different look at the EU ban on fish from Pakistan and comments that it is an opportunity to re-examine the fisheries and seafood export policies and slow down the industry - thus allowing the local marine wildlife to flourish. Jahane Rumi travels to Dhaka and finds that Pakistanis are not unwelcome in Bangladesh (formerly a part of Pakistan) although they had a bitter past and experienced a bloody seclusion.
While I agree with the rest of the article, I didn't like the first paragraph. Seems like we are not grown up. I spent 2 years in Lahore and what I felt that everyone makes proud and false claims. To remind us, Lahore is not one of the most famous tourist destinations in Lahore. Thailand, Malaysia, Srilanka, Dehli, Bombay etc. etc are far more popular tourist destinations in Asia. Similarly Lahore is 35th Largets city of the world not the 14th as the writer claims. You can't find variety food cuisines as you can expect in a tourist destination city. Similarly the food is not hygenic at all in the food streets(with the exception of M.M. Alam Road where you can find hygenic food). Everthing in Lahore is claimed to be Asia's Biggest!!! I could only laugh when I hear from even Educated Lahoris that Hafeez Center, Gulberg is Asia's Largest Computer Market. When I visit Karachi this year, I found at least two computer markets which were more than twice bigger than Hafeez Center. And forget Asia, Japan, Singapore and India has much bigger markets than Lahore or even Karachi. Similar kind of proud claims you will always listen from Lahoris.. like they have Pakistan's biggest Mc Donald (hehe...), they have Pakistan's Biggest autoparts market, they have pakistan's widest road (lol).

The writer seems to be an educated person, but still he wrote the first paragraph in a Lahori style.

It is not that Lahore is not a beautiful city. God blessed Lahore with full of natural beauty. It's lush green parks are indeed one of the beautiful parks in Pakistan. I like Lahore not because it has Asia's Biggest things... rather I love Lahore because of its natural beauty, because of it's cultural heritage, because of the beautiful and maintained historical buildings, because of the magical Fort, because of the beautiful roads, because of the beautiful villages that surronds Lahore. And I love Lahore because it has one of the best educational Universities and Colleges in Pakistan.
