Daggers Drawn
Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has finally called its quits for the relief of many and now the real battle starts at full throttle and while that happens, Asif Ali Zardari the co-chairman of PPP tries to get himself elected unhindered and without any competition.
The papers of the candidates of PML-N, PPP, and PML-Q have been filed. Muhammad Shahbaz, Mirza Tahir Beg, Dr. Nawab Amber Shahzada, M. P. Khan, Malik Muazzam Iqbal, Dr. Zahoor Mehdi and others. M. P. Kahn submitted two nomination papers. Asif Ali Zardari and Justice of PML-N have also filed the papers.
PML-N has nominated former chief justice of Pakistan Justice Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui and that is an ace move. Zardari versus Justice Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui is a funny yet very ironic contest, and all the eyes would be on this contest, in which seemingly due to the American support, the predilection of Zardari is strong.
PML-Q is just playing for better, and their candidate is there to blackmail both the bigger parties.
It is also learned that Central leader of Pakistan Peoples Party Makhdoom Amin Fahim has also strove hard for the last minute to become President, but after getting his support publicly Zardari ditched him at the last moment, and Amin Fahim has left with no option at all, and now he must be ruing that time when he once again joined Zardari.
