Release Dr. Aafia Siddiqui

Cutting Short the Long March

Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan punctured the long march of the lawyers for the reinstatement of the judiciary and he received the harsh rebuttal and the criticism for the participants of the long march, who have gathered there to have a decisive sit-in.

Amidst the political gimmickry, and the shenanigans from the Aitzaz Ahsan’s Pakistan People’s Party, the long march failed to achieve its purpose, and what it did in the end is the termination of any hope for the restoration of the judiciary. First PPP screwed this objective by ridiculing the Bhurban Declaration, and then Aitzaz sold his courage to the Zardari.

Asif Ali Zardari and the Pervez Musharraf must have been the very happy men right now. Not only they have proven to the people that lawyers leadership lacks the mettle and the heart to capitalize the passions, and they have also succeeded in giving the image that these lawyes cannot do much.

Cutting Short the long march by Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan is a glaring mistake which has given an irreparable loss to this movement.
