Credit Mongering
The issue of the credit is very complex. In any given organization, there are many people who doesn’t work with loyalty rather they work just to take the credit or to gain some attention. These people are like parasites, who take the credit of other people, and these callous people are in our every facet of the life. Credit mongering is a world wide disease, and this disease is also rampant in Pakistan.
Look at the political horizon, both Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif are racing with each other to take the credit of returning democracy and upon the issue of freedom of judiciary. Zardari is not cooperating with PML-N to reinstate the deposed judges, because it would give credit to the PML-N, and PML-N is not cooperating with PPP on the proposed 18th Amendment in the constitutional package prepared by the PPP law minister, because it would give credit to PPP for clipping the wings of the president, or changing the name of the province.
Even this disease is in our celebrated nuclear program. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was ousted and then cemented by the Dr. Samar Mubarak Mund, because Dr. Samar wasn’t liking the credit of Atomic Bomb going to the Dr. Qadeer, and likewise other fields are littered with such examples. The public sector organizations and institutions of Pakistan are choked with such attitude and our national life has come to a stand still.
This is not something to do with the education or literacy, as the most literate people are involved in this disease. So what’s the remedy of this?
