Release Dr. Aafia Siddiqui

Charge Ahead

The mandate given on 18th February by the people of Pakistan resoundingly told the winners that they wanted Musharraf out, but then PPP forgot the way in between and when Musharraf tried to bite them, they struck back and struck back with vengeance.

Now the charge sheet against Musharraf is complete and obviously with a heavy heart, the Law Minister Farooq H Naek will hand over the draft charge-sheet for the impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf, comprising more than 30 points, to the drafting committee of the PPP and the PML-N.

The charge sheet is comprehensive including military coup against elected government of Nawaz Sharif in 1999, suspension of Constitution twice in 1999 and on November 3, 2007, twice attack on the judiciary and not addressing the Parliament, giving NFC award without consulting provinces, military operation in Balochistan with a reference to target killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
