The people of Pakistan and India are very superstitious, perhaps because of the high poverty and illiteracy in the two countries. I have met many people who think a black cat crossing your path means that you will probably have a very bad day. As for superstitions about the solar and lunar eclipses, the less said the better. Normally, women who belong to superstitious families are not allowed to go out of their houses unless they require urgent immediate medical treatment. When there is a solar or lunar eclipse, even a woman who is in a critical condition is locked up even if she’s in danger of dying.

When I ran a salt factory, I would always wonder why my illiterate workers would advise me to sacrifice a goat whenever business was bad. And it was no use trying to convince them that there was no connection between the killing of an animal and market forces. And even after we had killed the goat and distributed its meat, nothing would come out of it. The business would recover only after stocks in the market ran out.
But why does the President of Pakistan have to regularly sacrifice black goats to strengthen his position? He at least is not illiterate. And why should it be a black goat?

Black magic done from 2 meters away will have the same effect as black magic done from a distance of 2000 miles. The distance does not make an iota’s difference as far as the effects are concerned. They will be exactly the same. Strong magic done from a distance of many miles will have a great effect whereas magic done from a small distance will not have a great effect if it is not strong.

There are a lot of people who follow protection methods and yet they get affected. Then they wonder why they got affected. What is meant by protection must be understood. If people wear warm clothes during the winter they are protected from the cold, but that does not mean they become immune to the cold. They will still feel cold. However, if they did not wear warm clothes at all, they could die. Similarly, protection methods cut down on the degree to which a person will get affected immensely, but a person will still be affected.

There seems to be a widespread belief among Muslims that black magic only affects sinners. This is not true. Black magic can affect anyone. I have personally seen some very religious people being affected by black magic. Even Tablighees get affected by black magic. If a Tablighee and his family members can get affected, anyone can get affected.
If black magic only affected sinners, the first people to have been affected would have been politicians, murderers, rapists etc.
Some people go to black magic victims and tell them to do astaghfar because the magic could have been a result of his/her sins. The only people who need to do astaghfar are those who suggest it to black magic victims.

As Muslims we should have belief in the Unseen (that which cannot be seen). A part of the Unseen is the Jinn. Not believing in their existence is an opening to the path of disbelief in Islam itself.
*Both the Qur’an and the Sunnah confirm Jinn’s existence and it is one of the traits of the believer to believe in their existence. Complete search shows that the Jinn are mentioned in more than forty verses of the Qur’an, which are spread in ten of its Surahs.

In this day and age, only a foolish person reveals his accomplishments to relatives, in whatever form they may be. Some relatives are snakes who can’t see a person succeed. This is why it is important to keep personal things to yourself. Things such as a new job, a new house, job promotion, a new car or even something as simple as having a baby. Keep it to yourself.
Some people are so sick that they make devils look small in comparison. These people will not even hesitate in performing magic on a new born baby. I cannot express my disgust. How low some people are ready to fall to harm others is unbelievable. Therefore, it is important that when you rejoice, keep your happiness to yourself.

Wednesday 22nd July, 2009 mankind will witness the longest total solar eclipse that will occur in the twenty-first century.
What is Solar Eclipse?
An eclipse of the sun occurs when the moon revolving in its orbit around the earth comes between the sun and the earth. The moon blocks the light of the sun and a shadow of the moon is cast over the earth’s surface.

People get very excited at the idea of reversing black magic. It is true that you want to get back at the person who did black magic on you, but know that not only is it strictly haram but also very dangerous. Here is why it is dangerous. A lot of people have black magic done through a black magician. If a person is reversing it, the magic is not being reversed towards the person who had it done, but towards the black magician. In such a case, the magician will send it back again but he’ll do extra magic to get back at the person reversing it. A lot of these magicians have jinns under their control. He might send one to possess the person reversing it. He might also harm family members if the magic is reversed.

Black magic is very common in India. Hindus were always the culprits when it came to practicing it, and Muslims with weak faith followed suit. It is understandable that Muslims in India always copy Hindus because they live with them, and I also understand the spread of black magic in the Middle East and the West, since Hindus have emigrated there, but why has black magic spread so rapidly in Pakistan?
