As Muslims we should have belief in the Unseen (that which cannot be seen). A part of the Unseen is the Jinn. Not believing in their existence is an opening to the path of disbelief in Islam itself.
*Both the Qur’an and the Sunnah confirm Jinn’s existence and it is one of the traits of the believer to believe in their existence. Complete search shows that the Jinn are mentioned in more than forty verses of the Qur’an, which are spread in ten of its Surahs.

History is witness to it, whenever Muslims lost touch with Islam and gave into worldly cravings, the worshiping of wealth and love of this world; they lost their status in the world (and, of course, the Hereafter).
A prime example is the time of Genghis Khan. One of the orientalists said: “when the Muslims turned away from their religious teachings and became ignorant of its wisdom and its laws, and deviated towards the contradictory (man-made) laws taken from the opinions of men, there spread in them immorality of character, falsehood, hypocrisy, ill-will and hatefulness increased in them. Their unity disintegrated and they became ignorant of their present and future state and became unaware of what will harm them or will benefit them. They have become contented with life in which they eat, drink, sleep and compete not with others, in superiority.”

Couple of weeks back Indian plane so called mistakenly intercepted into Pakistani territories marking borders of Lahore and Azad Kashmir. Pakistani Government devaluing enormity of the situation quite abruptly rejected any claims regarding intentional violation of demarcated boundaries. Since then as is the trend with media these days, different theories and interpretations have been put forward by different news channels and political analysts most of which have narrated tales and visions supported by perceived hideous conspiracies fashioned by plotters at national level in the neighboring country.

Cabinet meeting was underway. ADC came near Quaid-e-Azam and asked, “Sir, shall we serve coffee or tea”? Quaid-e-Azam became stunned, and said sternly, “These people haven’t come here after taking their tea or coffee from their homes”? ADC went bonkers. Quaid-e-Azam continued his talk and said,”Any minister who wants a coffee or tea, should go back to his home and take whatever he wants, the money of nation is for the nation and not at all for the ministers.” After this order, until he remained in rule, only drinking water was served in the cabinet meeting.

On 14th August, 1947 when billions of Muslims snatched their homeland from British and Hindus, all the dreams were about freedom, independence and the foundation of state which will be sovereign in its decisions and policies.
Over the years what has crudely been exposed are the fake claims of our sovereignty that our rulers harangue about at every forum at any given time. These gaping limits show our vulnerability to external dictates and inability to adopt and independent position on even internal issues. Notorious telephone calls by US-authorities to Pakistani authorities demanding a particular alteration in policies and decisions are an open secret. They have been the defining points of US-Pakistan “strategic” relationships.
