It seems that believers in black magic are everywhere. In India, a black magic practitioner tried to kill a challenger on a live TV show but failed to do so.

According to a news story in the Khaleej Times of 28 March 2008, a TV channel invited a spiritualist (shaman) named Pandit Surinder Sharma to a debate with an Indian rationalist Sanal Edamaruku. Edamaruku. As the debate intensified, the shaman suddenly claimed that he could kill anyone within three minutes by using his black magic power. So his challenger says, “Kill me, if you can.” The magician chanted “Om lingalingalinalinga, kilikili….” . But all this had no effect on Edamarku.

After the original three minutes were over, the time given to the pandit was extended and even after twenty minutes the rationalist Edamarku was still alive. It was then that the pandit said Edamarku was under the protection of a powerful god. But Edamarku protested that he was an atheist and didn’t believe in any gods. So Sharma said he had a never-failing special black magic for ultimate destruction, which can only been done at night. The TV channel then invited him to try his powers at night, but he has turned out to be a fake. Which is not surprising, since anyone who has studied science knows that all these charlatans are fake. And that’s also true of all those who prescribe remedies to overcome black magic.
