Benazir Bhutto Assassination

Basic Problems are Still There

While the hapless and helpless people of Pakistan treat their previous tormentors with shoes, abuses, and slaps and while Altaf Hussain Bhai, the Pir of London, and the chief “dramay baz” produces new dramas at the flip of the coin, and while PPP tilts towards Musharraf more overtly, the still hapless and helpless people of Pakistan wonders about their basic problems.

The problems of poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, backwardness, which has turned into frightening monsters due to the mishandling and mismanagement by the previous draconian regime of PML-Quisling under the stern eye of President General (r) Pervez Musharraf, will haunt the new government everywhere.

On paper, the new coalition government of Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDA) is committed to repeal and revoke all the black spots, images, laws, policies, procedures and steps by the previous regime, but they also need to give their own agenda and they must act fast to the developing image that they are merely an extension to the previous regime.
