Arrogant Nusrat Javed of Bolta Pakistan

Bolta Pakistan

Bolta Pakistan is one of the leading and most viewed talk shows in Pakistan. It has done wonders for AAJ TV ratings and has, along with ‘Live with Talat’, highest number of advertisements for a political talk show.

The reason behind popularity of Bolta Pakistan is of course its anchors, Nusrat Javed and Mushtaq Minhas. They discuss current affairs, politics, social and economical issues of Pakistan and world in casual manner, like a discussion over a cup of coffee. While Mushtaq Minhas is polite in nature, Nusrat Javed, the senior partner, is very arrogant and irrational. He does not want to hear criticism and gets hyper when Mushtaq Minhas tries to argue with him.

On Friday, Bolta Pakistan has callers’ day when people can call and discuss their issues (rest of the week they don’t usually take public calls but if they do, they ask callers to give their opinions on issues at hand). Nusrat Javed is very rude with callers who dare criticize him. He usually cuts them short, ask them stern questions and their lines are dropped before they get a chance to express their opinion.

AAJ TV administration should take note of this arrogance of Nusrat Javed. If they want to have this a bi-directional program, they should have patience and stamina to bear with criticism and should listen and respect others’ point of view, rather than rudely jerking them off. Otherwise they should stop taking public calls and just do their ‘ji-sir ji-sir’ act with corrupt politicians and sleazy bureaucrats.

So far public is taking Nusrat Javed’s rashness in good intention but a backlash may severely damage AAJ TV’s reputation and can hurt the show more than Musharraf’s ban.

i think Nusrat Javed is not arrogant he talk rational. but what about mushtaq minhas. he is emotional person. he talks irrational and infact about 98 percent 0f pakistanis has views like him that is why he is gaining popularity and the 2 percect having views like nusrat face such bloody criticism as he did on fridays program. i also want to say that minhas said he want to break india as it breaked pakistan he could have siad that we will become a stronger nation through education we will develop our economy than talking about war and breaking etc. the other problem is that he is not ready to accept that the pakistani is involved in mumbai attacks; when every one knows that pakistan is involved and in nusrat Javed is harsh to the callers then what kind of caller call him . he is a concern citien waiting for change but alas . for me he is a true pakistani and mushtaq minhas is JAMATIA because he was affliated with the islamic jamats that is why he is biased

Dear Ms. Sania,

I want to comment on your statement: “everyone knows that pakistan is involved in mumbai attacks”

I am a part of “everyone” but believe me that I donot know if Pakistan is involved in those attacks and I surely want to know about the proof that can establish that Pakistan is involved.
If the only basis for this ‘allegation’ is that the whole world, and UN is saying this, then you may need to refresh your memory about Iraq when UN Security council passed resolutions when America presented ‘proofs’ of Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq’s custody - an allegation (proof) that later was proved false and America accepted that it did not have confirmation about those WPDs.

Waiting for the proofs so just like “everyone” I also know that Pakistan is involved in Mumbai attacks.

@Sania: Well, its the 98% of Pakistan that are holding the country together while the 2% trying to break it apart (I would however make that 80% and 20%).

When Indian government is accusing Pakistan for all and sundry, when their media talks of attacking Pakistan, when Indian in-service Colonel plans and kills 60+ Pakistani in Samjautha Express and the blame is thrown to LeT and elsewhere, when we have clear-cut evidence of Indian insurgence in Balochistan, FATA and Karachi, how do you think we should react to India? Send them bouquets? Or, show cowardly smiles like UKP Zardari?

And, lets not discuss one’s political or ethnic affiliation because its quite clear whom Nusrat Javed represents and why he takes it so personal when someone criticizes Zadari.

The point I was making in the post is that Bolta Pakistan, and Nusrat Javed especially, should respect their callers and do not cut them short. If they do not have the patience to bear criticism, they stop taking calls.

Nusrat Javed and Mushtaq Minhaas Sahib Thanks for provide us this opportunity to tell you our problems so please awake to Qamar zamaan qaira for solve the enitial problems in the city LALA MUSA as per they have commited for the solve the road construction for mohallah Rahmat Abaad and also they have promise for provide the Sui Gass opportunity for the peoples of Rahmat Abaad. Because we gave them 625 votes EXTRA from there expectations. so I just want to awake them.This is the time they have 5 finger in DESEI GHEE so please look there agrements for the deserving peoples of Lala Musa. feel free to contact me FRANCE. Coming back to Nusrat Javed. Agree with you entirely what an arrogant and self-centred person he is.

I can understand why there is a wide audience for Bolta Pakistan. It portrays our society: gossiping, back biting, rumour mongering and self projected speculative theories which are best left to gup-shup and discussions in a typical barber’s shop.

I watched him couple of days ago on PTV’s Press Club and what a fool he made of himself. He thinks the country’s president and ministers should listen and consult him for major decisions. A very egoistic attitude.

Come on guys lets listen to senior journalists who are broad minded, frank, neutral, constructive in their views and not hyped up anchors who provide drama serial type entertainment. There is much of that on the other side of the border.

Sir, i love your style and honest / candid views on the issues concerning common citizens of Pakistan.
I am sending this message this forum because I don’t know your email address and want to get your attention to help of my colleague (Major in Pakistan Army).
His wife is lecturer in Punjab Government, he has recently been posted at Gujranwala (as last posting prior to his retirement) and his wife is still posted at Rawalpindi.
Despites his best efforts and so many visits to Ministry of Education at Lahore to get some relief, has been denied / refused meeting with Secretary Education for getting his wife posted at Gujranwala.
Lower official / staff have agreed, but they can’t issue posting order until and unless Secretary Education permits.
As per law, both husband and wife are supposed to be posted on same station or nearest station. His request is legal, moral / ethical to get his wife posted at Gujranwala.
Please, give me your email address, so that he can send you complete details.
I hope, you will consider his problem to get some attention through your channel from Khadim Punjab
