Another Pledge to Restore Judges
Once again the hills of Margalla saw both brothers Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif joining hands and promising the reinstatement of deposed judges according to the Murree Declaration within the 30 days of government formation.
Though Pakistan People’s Party has lots of reservations and they have been expressing them by and large and also their co-chairman is apprehensive about the deposed chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary because of his fruits of National Reconciliation Ordinance. But he knows that it would be disastrous for his future if he leaves the support of judges restoration at this time.
One has to hand it over to Mian Nawaz Sharif for his continuous and resolute support for the restoration of judiciary. He may be playing politics but at least this political shenanigan by the elder Sharif is in the positive direction and nation is with him in that.
