Allah’s Curse on Grave Worship
When they congregate at the grave of a saint, they stand there like statues expressing great humility and veneration. In fact, the humility and reverence which they display at the graves of the saints are never shown in the mosque when they have to pray to Allah Ta’ala.
At the graves of the saints they indulge in a variety of acts of shirk and kufr. They do sajdah to the graves and they do tawaaf around it. But, according to Islam, sajdah is to be rendered exclusively to Allah Ta’ala and tawaaf exclusively to the Holy Ka’bah. They burn incense at the graves and they adorn the graves with lamps and lights in open violation of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam’s) prohibition to do so.
Grave-worship is not a new cult. It came into being after the age of Nooh A.S. Even the Christians and the Jews practiced grave-worship, hence Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “Allah cursed the Yahood and the Nasaara because they converted the graves of their Prophets into places of worship.”
This hadith as well as other narrations inform us that Allah’s curse settles on the cult of grave-worship. Muslims should, therefore, never be misled by the false slogans raised by the grave-worshipers. Participation, in the activities of the grave-worship cult raises the curse of Allah Ta’ala according to the explicit statement of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam).
The members of the grave-worship sect loudly proclaim their “love” for Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), but they ignore his condemnation of grave-worship.
On one occasion, Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: `O Allah! Do not let my grave become an idol which will be worshiped.”
When even worshiping the grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) is prohibited, then by what stretch of imagination can the worshiping of the graves of the saints be allowed?

“The members of the grave-worship sect”
Muhammad Yousha is a deobandi! he hates barelhvis. i bet you have problem with their echo filled naats.
the thing is. its not grave worship that the visiters of mazars think they are doing. they think they are ,how do you they using a waseela. they pray to allah but they ask him to accept their prayers for the sake of their love for the noble, kind person lying in that grave.
although the sufi mazari kind of people totally go overboard with the thing. its kind of strange you know the using those saints as a waseela. but i dont think it shirk or wrong. since the prayer is being addressed to allah.

Whether a man is a deobandi or a barelvi, he is a muslim, he may not have enough knowledge of Islam, but again, since he was born a muslim, you can’t call him a kafir.

When I see the simple folk of Sindh, humbly asking a “peer” to intercede with Allah for the solution of their problems, I do not think they’re doing anything wrong. They think that since they’re very poor, they should have an intermediary between themselves and Allah. It’s like when they go to their feudal masters, they have to first ask his servants to go in and see the boss.

Mr. Yusha, this post is entitled “Allah’s curse on grave worshippers”, could you tell us what is the curse and where in the Holy Koran is it mentioned?
