A Darker Lahore
I’ll be seventeen really soon, and I’ve lived in Lahore all my life. As bomb blast and security threats rose all over the country, I always seemed surprised that Lahore’s hardly ever the target. Maybe that’s just me, but hardly ever have I witnessed major violence or the like in Lahore. Karachi and Islamabad seemed to be the unlucky cities, and deep down I always felt at ease that I was in neither of the two cities, but in Lahore.
Lahore seemed secure, it was home. Yet recently, to be more precise these last few months or so, I don’t feel as secure in Lahore as I used to. Again this might just be me, but my general assessment is that everyone feels they need to me more cautious, and that’s not just in Lahore, but all over the country.
We can hardly label these good times for our country, and although some can point out the good things that have been sprinkled on top of the sundae, but underneath, it seems as if everything’s crumbling, and the structures going to cave in soon. Let’s hope and pray, that things get better, for everyone.

No one is safe in the cities anymore. Pretty soon, unless the government spends more on strenghthening security, we’ll see bomb blasts every day.
