We are aware that the U. S. has stationed a large number of its army in Pakistan. Lately, the Pentagon has proposed to transfer U.S. military equipment from Iraq to Pakistan. This is supposedly done to aid Pakistani security forces to combat the Taliban.
Setting up such a strong base in Pakistan does look like a real war is about to take place. So, is the target of war just the Taliban or also some other threats to the U.S. government?
China is, of course, a super-power rival that may be easily attacked if Pakistan is set as the base. The Chinese government will protest against this mass transfer of army and military equipment or not time will only tell. However, Pentagon would sure be struggling to think how to fit Russia in this mass destruction strategy.
On the other hand, just think how stealthily and cunningly the U.S. has taken foothold in Pakistan. It has definitely learned from past mistakes of Afghanistan and Iraq that subtlety is the best policy… presumably…
China is a time-tested ally of Pakistan. We’ve always been there for them, and they’ve always been there for us.
Rest-assured, any threats to China are also threats to Pakistan –and vice versa.
China is the next worldpower, Inshallah. From an economic standpoint, USA needs China (to buy its treasury bonds and keep lots of dollars in its reserves)….China needs U.S. as a market for it’s export driven economy.
Long live China, Long live Pakistan.
